John D. Serna
Certified Legal Assistant – Lubbock

John has 18 years experience assisting in trial preparation and courtroom presentations. He is our firm’s senior litigation assistant and has helped handle wrongful death cases, railroad crossing cases, traumatic brain injuries, oilfield injuries, cotton gin accidents and major auto/truck wreck cases. John was raised in Lamesa and San Angelo, Texas. He received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in philosophy from the University of Dallas and is bilingual. John is Board Certified in Personal Injury Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization and is a member of the Paralegal Division of the State Bar of Texas.  His father, Guillermo C. Serna, served as Justice of the Peace for Precinct 1 in Tom Green County, Texas for 12 years. John is an active member at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in Lubbock where he is a part of the Saturday evening praise and worship team.  John’s concern for our clients and the preparation of their cases for trial has made him an invaluable member of our litigation team.
